ECC (Thailand) runs a range of different courses at different times of the year. To see the current schedule for a course, click on the name of the course in the list below.
Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)
Internationally recognized, the CELTA is run in over 100 centres world-wide and is widely regarded as one of the most important and valuable forms of training in TEFL. The full cost of the course is US$ 1,600 which includes the UCLES registration fee. A deposit of US$ 600 can be made to secure a place. The balance of US$ 1,000 must be made 4 weeks prior to the course start date. Make sure you have a confirmed place on a course before paying. For trainees who secure their place 45 days before course commencement, there is an early-bird discount (deadline shown below) making the course US$ 1,440.
Currently our Bangkok training centre (Big C Rajdamri) is closed. All CELTA courses will be held at the same dates as published below but only in Chiang Mai and Phuket until the end of 2010.

Take both the internationally recognized CELTA course and our locally recognized TEYL course for US$ 1,600. By combining the CELTA and the TEYL you will be in an ideal position to cope with all the different kinds of teaching situations you are likely to find yourself in when you start teaching. The full cost of this option is US$ 1,600 which includes the UCLES registration fee. A deposit of US$ 600 can be made to secure a place. Introduction to Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
This course is designed for native and non-native speakers wishing to gain a basic qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. It also serves as an excellent preliminary course for those interested in the Cambridge CELTA. Currently the price of this course is 15,000 Baht.

This course is designed for native and non-native speakers who already have some teaching experience and is very practical in nature. Currently the price of this course is 5,500 Baht.

Cambridge YL Extension to CELTA
This 60-hour extension course is especially designed for CELTA/CTEFLA qualified teachers who wish to extend their skills to include those necessary for teaching English to young learners. The full cost of this course is 22,000 Baht inclusive of Cambridge fees. A deposit of 7,000 Baht can be made to secure a place. The balance of 15,000 Baht must be made 4 weeks prior to the course start date. Make sure you have a confirmed place on a course before paying.

Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) – Preparation Course
The TKT has been developed by Cambridge ESOL for teachers of speakers of other languages. The TKT aims to test candidates’ knowledge of concepts related to language, language use and the background to and practice of language teaching and learning. The TKT Preparation Course aims to prepare participants to take the TKT successfully. Currently the cost of this course is 10,000 Baht.
